Michael Kadin Joins Pitch as Chief Creative Office

New York, January 21, 2016: Pitch, the Los Angeles, CA-based creative agency that counts Burger King, Netflix, and Pepsi among its roster of top-tier clients, has hired Deutsch LA alum Michael Kadin as its new chief creative officer. Kadin, who most recently was freelancing for clients including Jeep and Budweiser, replaces Xanthe Wells, who has left the shop.

Kadin, who starts Feb. 1, led award-winning and business-driving creative for DIRECTV, VW, and others while at Deutsch LA. Prior to his tenure at Deutsch, he worked at shops including BBDO and Team One. Kadin said he can’t wait to work with the “passionate and driven” staffers at the 8-year-old agency.

“There’s a ton of momentum at Pitch right now, a small agency with big brands, great talent and huge ambition,” said Kadin. “The energy is palpable and contagious and I’m honored to take the creative reins, drive our clients’ businesses and take the agency to the next level.”

Pitch President Rachel Spiegelman said “the combination of Michael’s creative pedigree, business intelligence and passion for inspiring and leading teams makes him the perfect fit for Pitch.” While Wells’ next move has not been announced, Spiegelman said “Xanthe helped establish Pitch as a highly sought after creative partner for clients and we wish her well in her next endeavor.” With Kadin on board and the support of Pitch holding company parent Project providing global expertise and resources, Spiegelman said opportunity abounds for the agency. Pitch was acquired by employee-owned Project in August of 2014.

When not working, the award-winning creative whose work has been recognized with Cannes Lions, and One Show and D&AD Pencils, enjoys surfing, going to flea markets, and hanging out with his family.
